The short version:
- We only collect what you choose to send us, like a booking request or a mailing list sign-up.
- We use it to reply to you and plan your event, and to send news if you asked for it.
- We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
- This site has no analytics, ads or tracking cookies.
Who we are
This website belongs to SYLVIE, a country singer-songwriter based in San Diego, California. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean SYLVIE and the people who help run her music and bookings. This policy explains what information this website collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
Booking requests. When you send the form on our booking page, we receive:
- your name and email address
- your phone number, if you add it
- details about your event: the type of event, solo acoustic or full band, the date, whether your dates are flexible, the location or venue, your budget range if you choose one, and anything you write in the message box
Mailing list. If you sign up for our mailing list, we receive your first name and email address.
Please don't include sensitive information, such as payment details, in the form.
Information collected automatically
We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't build profiles of visitors. Like any website, though, some technical information is handled automatically when you visit:
- Hosting. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes basic technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary cookies or similar tools for security.
- Fonts. The site's fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address.
How we use your information
- to reply to your booking request, discuss availability and plan your event
- to send you news about shows and new music, if you joined the mailing list
- to keep records of past bookings
- to keep the website running safely
We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Services that handle your information
We use a small number of trusted services to run this website. Each handles your information under its own privacy policy:
- Web3Forms receives the booking form when you press Send and forwards your request to our email inbox. Web3Forms privacy policy
- Our email provider stores the booking requests we receive, along with any replies.
- Cloudflare hosts this website. Cloudflare privacy policy
- Google Fonts provides the fonts. Google privacy policy
- Mailing list. When our mailing list launches, we will name the service that sends it here.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
Links to other sites
This site links to Spotify, Apple Music, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. When you follow those links, or play music hosted by those services, their own privacy policies apply.
How long we keep it
We keep booking requests for as long as we need them to reply, plan your event and keep reasonable records of past bookings, and then delete them. Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Every mailing list email includes a link to unsubscribe.
California residents. Under California privacy law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to ask us to delete or correct it, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in that law.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
This site is served over a secure, encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we limit who can see booking requests. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, but we take reasonable care to protect what you send us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add a new service. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
